Bestiarum Vocabulum, like the medieval bestiaries from which it takes its name, is a catalog of real and imagined animals. In this catalog, the lines between real and imaginary are invariably blurred– often beyond recognition. It is a tongue-in-cheek guide to the social, political, romantic and intellectual lives of beasts, ourselves included. It roams from entries on nightmarish chimera to mundane housepets, and back again… It is a joke, a bad pun, a slip of the pen, and as jokes tend to be, rarely more than one step away from the truth… when I can manage it.
